Harrison Ford Opens Up About Another 'Indiana Jones'

"I'm looking forward to it," he said.

Ford was jovial from the get-go. He pretended to wince as he passed underneath Kimmel's studio door, which slides up to reveal his guests -- a reference to the actor's mishap on the set of "Episode VII," when a hydraulic door on the Millennium Falcon set slammed down on the 73-year-old, leaving him with a shattered ankle.

The actor reiterated he'd been pushing to kill off his character in "Star Wars" series, Han Solo, for decades. Spoilers ahead, in case you're one of the very few who haven't seen it, he got his wish in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

"I guess I wore 'em down," Ford mused.

The actor noted he was surprised that no spoilers about the event leaked. "It was pretty amazing that people sort of respected their fellow audience members to the extent that it [news of Solo's death] didn't get around."

He joked about would-be blabbermouths: "I think they knew I'd show up to their house and beat the s*** out of them."

Since Ford had been hesitant to return to the "Indiana Jones" franchise, Kimmel asked the star, "Did they finally come up with an idea that you loved?"

"Ah, Yeah! Yeah!" Ford said emphatically. "I haven't read the script. I'm talking about the contract!"

"No, it's fun. It's great fun to play this character," he continued. "It's great fun to work with Steven, I'm looking forward to it."

"I said, 'Why would you put a deleted scene on a DVD?'" He admitted it took him four days to understand what supplemental items meant. "And then I found out that 'deleted scenes' aren't in the movie. They're for the deleted scenes section of the DVD!"

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be released digitally on April 1 and on Blu-ray and DVD April 5 by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
