Harry Potter Fans Try to Free Dobby Statue With Socks
"Dobby is a free elf."
-- Everyone knows that to free a house elf, its owner must present it with a piece of clothing. And if you don't know, then you are not a true "Harry Potter" fan.
Well, some die-hard fans are trying to free a statue of Dobby by presenting it with socks.
The trend is happening around the country in various museums celebrating "Harry Potter." Author J.K. Rowling added to the frenzy by retweeting one picture.
The "Free Dobby" campaign all began on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesden, England -- the studio were the "Harry Potter" movies were filmed.

As Dobby said before he passed in the movie, "It's such a beautiful place...to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend...Harry Potter." Dobby free forever!
