Heidi Montag and Other Downsizing Celebrities
Montag is the latest celebrity to get breast reduction surgery.
Nov. 8, 2013 -- intro: Heidi Montag is the latest star to acknowledge that bigger is not always better.
Four years after having her breasts enlarged for a second time to an F-cup, the former "Hills" star went back under the knife -- this time to have them reduced to a C-cup.
"I couldn't conceptualize the weight of them in my body," the 27-year-old reality star told Us Weekly about her implants. "They felt like bowling balls on my chest."
Showing off her new, smaller bustline, Montag said her size-F implants weighed about three pounds each and were so heavy that she started having back and neck problems and numbness in her arms.
Montag previously got C-cups in 2007 before up-sizing to F-cups two years later as part of a painful marathon surgery in which she underwent at least 10 plastic surgery procedures in a single day. A year after her shocking transformation, Montag told ABC News in November 2010 that she regretted her surgeries.
"I don't want the biggest boobs in the world and, to be honest, I would take them out and downsize them but I don't want to go under the knife again," she said. "I feel like I'm stuck with them now. ... Sometimes I wish I could go back to the original Heidi."
Apparently summoning up the courage, Montag had her breasts redone in a six-hour procedure on Oct. 4, telling Us that she feels better than she has for years.
"I'm the new, new, new Heidi!" she said.

Six years later, she gushed about her new size, saying "There's something very awkward about women and their breasts because men look at them so much. When they're huge, you become very self-conscious. Your back hurts. You find that whatever you wear, you look heavy in. It's uncomfortable."media: 20820220

"I didn't want to get it. But I had lost 25 pounds and my breasts didn't go anywhere! I was still carrying that load," she told People in November 2007. She ended up going smaller than she would have liked. She was "an E or an F cup. I was pretty big. Now I'm like a DD. I wanted to be a triple," Latifah told People. She had her implants removed, telling Fitness magazine in September 2011, "Implants were something I thought I wanted when I was younger, and now I don't. It was hard being active with them, because my chest was always sore. It hurt a lot, and I didn't like always being in pain, so they had to go!"media: 20820287
quicklist:title: Sharon Osbournetext: After returning to "The Talk" following a hiatus in October 2011, co-host Sharon Osbourne revealed that she had surgery to have her implants removed. "One morning I woke up and one of my boobies was kind of much longer than the other," she told her co-hosts and audience. "So I'm looking, thinking, this isn't right. I went to a fabulous surgeon ... and she said the implant was leaking. ... [So] I went and had them taken out." A year later, the colon cancer survivor underwent a double mastectomy after learning that she carried the gene for breast cancer. media: 20820395
