Hugh Jackman Announces Exit From 'X-Men' Franchise

Hugh Jackman, the man who has embodied Wolverine since 2000, is moving on.
With the "X-Men" franchise going younger across the board -- Jennifer Lawrence just announced she's only in for one last movie too -- there were rumors Jackman would eventually give up the role which made him a beloved star.
However, he's potentially in for two more movies, "X-Men: Apocalypse," next year and an untitled Wolverine movie in 2017, according to IMDB.
"WOLVERINE ...ONE LAST TIME. HJ," Jackman, 46, wrote over the weekend on Instagram, flashing his iconic claws.
It's hard to see anyone else taking over Jackman's iconic character and Marvel actually killed off Wolverine last October in the comic book series. In the series, "Death of Wolverine," Logan was hunted by Dr. Abraham Cornelius.
"We don't know why he wants him [dead or captured] and the reason for all this crazy bloodshed," writer Charles Soule told ABC News about the books. "But we are going to find out ... It's pretty epic, it's a great showdown."
"Then, he goes out, he goes out like he should," Soule said about his death.
Will they kill him off onscreen, too? That remains to be seen.
