Inside the Twitter Beef Between Kanye West and Deadmau5

— -- Kanye West has taken his Twitter spat with DJ Deadmau5 to new levels, responding to his original remarks by asking the man to perform at his daughter North's birthday party as "Minnie Mouse."

The beef began when Kanye posted a photo to Twitter that, close up, appears to show the rapper with the file-sharing site Pirate Bay open on his browser alongside a tab featuring Serum, an editing software published by Deadmau5 and his music label, Xfer Records.

Deadmau5, whose real name is Joel Thomas Zimmerman, called West out on Tuesday, writing, "What the f--- @kanyewest ... Can't afford serum?"

He followed that up with "Let's start a Kickstarter to help @kanyewest afford a copy of Serum." and "He needs a small loan of 200$ #prayforyeezy."

West, never one to shy away from speaking his mind, responded yesterday with attacks on the DJ's persona and stage presence. (He performs wearing the head of a mouse.)

"whose job is it to carry the head on the plane # hash tag # do you check the mickey mouse head or carry on # does it get hot?" West wrote. "I’m bored ### when you get married will your wife have a giant minnie mouse head? # This brightened up my day… thank you dead-mow-five."

He then asked the successful producer and musician, "Do you do birthday parties?? My daughter loves Minnie mouse…"

Deadmau5 first responded to critics and fans of West, writing, "All is right with the world. Let's move on."

But then he responded to West directly, writing, "Imma let you finish.... But you should probably be saving the money for a 4th grade education ... I can out idiot an idiot. It's what I do."
