Jamie Lee Curtis Recreates Mom's 'Psycho' Shower Scene for 'Scream Queens'
The actress paid homage to Janet Leigh for "Scream Queens."
-- Jamie Lee Curtis has channeled her mom, actress Janet Leigh, for her new TV series, "Scream Queens."
On Tuesday, the 56-year-old actress shared a photo of herself recreating Leigh's famous shower scene in the classic 1960 Alfred Hitchcock classic "Psycho."
In the picture, Curtis is holding a photo of a screaming Leigh from "Psycho," and is making the same facial expression.
"Recreated Mom's PSYCHO shower scene 4 a special ep of @ScreamQueens," Curtis wrote.
“My entire life I have refused to step into the shower because it belongs to my mother,” Curtis explained to Variety. “I have attempted to step out of the shadow of my parents for a long time.”
However, she added, "enough time has passed."
“This role has appeared in my life. It’s unexpected and delightful,” she said.
She noted to Variety that her "Psycho" recreation will air "way down the line" during the upcoming season of Fox's "Scream Queens," which premieres later this month.
