January Jones Pregnant: Father Is a Mystery
"Mad Men" star confirms she's pregnant but is mum on the father's identity.
May 2, 2011 -- By announcing her pregnancy on the day of the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, perhaps "Mad Men" actress January Jones was hoping the news would get overlooked.
After all, Jones split from boyfriend and "Saturday Night Live" star Jason Sudeikis in January. And she's keeping quiet about who the baby's father is.
"January Jones is happy to announce that she is expecting her first child this fall," her rep said in a statement.
It appears the 33-year-old actress will be raising the child on her own. A source close to Jones told People magazine, "She's really looking forward to this new chapter in her life as a single mom."
Jones plays married mother of three Betty Draper on the hit AMC show "Mad Men" and is set to play Emma Frost in the upcoming "X-Men: First Class."
She has been linked to several famous men during her career, including Jeremy Piven, Adrian Brody, Jim Carrey, singer Josh Groban and oil heir Brandon Davis.
A former Abercrombie and Fitch model, Jones also dated Ashton Kutcher before she got into acting and recalled recently how he was unsupportive of her aspirations.
"The guy I was dating when I first got to L.A. was not supportive of my acting," Jones said of Kutcher in a 2009 GQ interview. "He was like, I don't think you're going to be good at this. ... He only has nice things to say now -- if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."
Jones was first linked romantically with "SNL" cast member Sudeikis last July, but they called it quits at the beginning of this year, according to People.
"They've been on and off for a few months and then the long distance kind of ended it," a source told the magazine in January. "But they could get back together. It was just hard to stay together with the distance."
Jones may be raising her child alone, but she's not alone as a single mom in Hollywood. Sandra Bullock, Minnie Driver, Halle Berry are all members of the single mom's club.
