Jeffrey Tambor Explains Forgetting to Thank His Wife at Emmys

Tambor made sure to bring it up after the show.

— -- Jeffrey Tambor claimed his second Emmy last night for his amazing work as Maura Pfefferman in Amazon's hit show "Transparent."

The 72-year-old actor, who plays a transgender woman, also issued a call to action for Hollywood to accept and give more trans actors a chance.

"Give them auditions. Give them their story," he said.

He was lauded and praised for his message. But he forgot to thank possibly the most important person in his life: his wife, Kasia Ostlun.

Tambor and Ostlun have been together since 2001. They have four children together, and he has a daughter from a previous relationship.

During the interview, he also gave a shout-out to fellow Emmy winner and "Transparent" creator Jill Soloway.

"May I say something about this creator to my left? She's responsible for the safest set I've ever been on, and she created Maura. I just followed the breadcrumbs, and we are all madly in love with Jill Soloway."
