Do Hollywood's Unlucky-in-Love Ladies Still Believe in the L-Word?

Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and more on love.

Sept. 12, 2009 — -- Despite being America's favorite broken-hearted sweetheart, to promote her new movie, "Love Happens," Jennifer Aniston confessed to Australian Harper's Bazaar that she's still very hopeful. "I'm still a romantic," she said. "I still believe in love."

Awww ... I don't know if Jen's serious or if she's just trying to trick us into thinking that she's really falling for Aaron Eckhart so we go see the movie. Since Jennifer isn't the only lady in Hollywood who's had a rough ride on the relationship train, I thought I'd look up what some other unlucky in love ladies have to say about romance. And they were pretty easy to find by searching John Mayer's exes.

The L-Word Addicts

Britney Spears: "With love, you should go ahead and take the risk of getting hurt… because love is an amazing feeling." [About.com]

Drew Barrymore: "I love romance. I'm a sucker for it. I love it so much. It's pathetic." [Brainy Quote]

The Cautious-But-Hopeful

Kate Hudson: "Love is scary, like anything else, whether you're falling in love, whether you're discovering love in something else…if you're really going to jump off the cliff, when you meet somebody that you love you're going to jump off that cliff, you've got to give them everything. And when you have a kid, it's on a much greater level." [Think Exist]

Mary-Louise Parker: "I thought I knew what love was, until I had this beautiful baby boy. That love is impenetrable, it is pure. Nothing can touch that. You can tell me things about myself and I may believe you to a point. If you try and tell me something about the way I feel about my son, it won't work. That love is so pure and it is so rare in this world." [MaryLouiseParker.org]

The Totally Burned

Jessica Simpson: "I'm too hard to be in love with. It ends up on the cover of every magazine." [http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/214660/30_great_quotes_by_jessica_simpson_pg2.html?cat=33]

Cameron Diaz: "Most men are the same. They're only interested in f**king you and they don't care whether you're happy or sad. They just want to get on with their business in and out of bed, and they make you feel that you don't count except as their sex toy." [Think Exist]
