Jennifer Aniston's New Attitude: Peace With Angelina Jolie, Moving to NYC, 'Really Happy'

Jennifer Aniston debuted a new attitude ahead of the release of her romantic comedy with Adam Sandler, "Just Go With It," which opens in theaters Friday. On ABC's "Good Morning America" today, the former "Friends" star said she's ready to ditch Hollywood and return to Rachel Greene's New York City.

"I've been looking and looking," Aniston said today on "Good Morning America." "I grew up here. I miss it. There's nothing like being in the city...[it's] the city of every man. It's all walks and I love that."

Aniston built her 9,000-square-foot home dream home in Beverly Hills, Calif., but in an interview appearing in the latest issue of People magazine, she said it was "too much."

"This summer I woke up in the middle of the night in London, and I couldn't sleep, and I knew I really needed to simplify my life. And along with that came the thought, 'I should sell my house,'" she told People. "I had the realization that it is just too much for me. I'm not this person."

She's also overhauling her enemies. Aniston, who once called actress Angelina Jolie "uncool" and "inappropriate," is now taking a more laid back approach to the partner of her ex, actor Brad Pitt. In an interview with Life & Style magazine, gossip blogger Perez Hilton relayed what Aniston told him about Jolie.

Hilton told the magazine that when he asked Aniston if she hates Jolie, "Jen said, 'Look, that was so long ago, and we've moved on and we're all adults.'"

Aniston and Hilton forged an unlikely friendship when she confronted him in August at a Los Angeles parking garage.

"We stood there like two deer in headlights. And I just said, 'Come here. Just talk to me for a second.' It was one of those great moments. It was a lovely meeting, and I was just like, 'Why are you so mean?'" Aniston said on an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that aired last week.

It all adds up to the actress professing to be utterly content about life. Aniston will turn 42 tomorrow and, she emphasized in her interview with People, despite the lack of a man on her arm or a baby on her hip, she couldn't be more thrilled.

"I'm really happy," she told the magazine. "Really! I think people honestly just want to see me as a mom and married and barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, and I just want to say, 'Everybody, relax! It's going to happen.'"

Working with Sandler in "Just Go With It," in which Aniston plays a frumpy receptionist forced to help her boss get the woman of his dreams, kept her in good spirits.

"I just feel like there's no greater healer than laughter," she said on "GMA." "That's why I feel like doing what I get to do is just one of the luckiest things there is, to be out there and try to just create some joy, bring some levity to people's days."
