Why Jerry O'Connell Told His Kids Wife Rebecca Romijn Was Married to Uncle Jesse
Jerry O'Connell's wife, Rebecca Romijn, used to be married to John Stamos.
-- Things got a little awkward in Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn's household recently.
Turns out their 6-year-old twin girls, Dolly and Charlie, are huge fans of the '90s sitcom "Full House," specifically because of one of its stars, John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse.
"'Full House' is on a continual loop," O'Connell told host Andy Cohen on Wednesday's "Watch What Happens Live." "Because they expressed, like, real feelings for the character of Uncle Jesse, I said, 'You know, girls, I gotta tell you something. This is gonna be crazy.'"
The crazy thing was Stamos was once married to Romijn.
"You know, I showed them photos on the Internet of [Stamos and Romijn's] wedding," O'Connell said. "And it was a beautiful ceremony. And my kids really want to know why mom isn't still with him."
O'Connell was appearing on "Watch What Happens Live" with Lori Loughlin, who also has a connection to Stamos. She played his wife Becky on "Full House."
Netflix announced a spin-off of "Full House" earlier this week. Premiering in 2016, "Fuller House" will star original cast members Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, with guest appearances by Stamos.
Loughlin, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier are still in negotiations, and twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played the role of Michelle, said they only learned about the reboot a few hours after it was announced.
