-- "X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters Friday and no one is more prepared than "GMA's" Jesse Palmer.
Palmer got a full-blown mutant makeover to become the X-Men character "Beast." Palmer was backstage during "Good Morning America" with an all-star special effects team for two and a half hours to complete the transformation.
Blockbuster makeup and special effects artists Mike Mekash, who has worked on "Mad Max: Fury Road," "Iron Man 2," and Bruce Spaulding Fuller, known for his work on "Underworld," "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "Thor," brought out the beast in Palmer.
"I'm in beast mode," Palmer said.
