Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Trying for Baby Number 20
The stars of '19 Kids and Counting' are hoping for another child.
Oct. 10, 2013 -- Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar star in the TLC reality series "19 Kids and Counting" -- a title they take literally.
The parents of 19 children are currently trying to have a twentieth, Michelle revealed in a new interview.
"I would hope, but we are not expecting right now," Michelle told Celebrity Baby Scoop. "I would be so grateful if the Lord blessed us with another one. We're trying at this point and we shall see if that is a possibility. If not, we are so thankful and grateful for the ones that God has given us so far."
Jim Bob, 48, and Michelle, 47, are parents to Joshua, 25, twins Jana and John-David, 23, Jill, 22, Jessa, 20, Jinger, 19, Joseph, 18, Josiah, 17, Joy-Anna, 15, twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, 14, Jason, 13, James, 12, Justin, 11, Jackson, 9, Johanna, 7, Jennifer, 6, Jordyn, 4, and Josie, 3. They are also grandparents to Joshua's three children. And though Michelle knows that there are people who criticize her decision to have such a large family, she doesn't agree with them.

"My daughter, Jill, said to us, 'Mom, Dad, I don't understand why people would say that. Love really, truly multiplies…it doesn't divide. When you have more people in the family, there is that many more people to spread love all around!'" she said. "I think Jill said it very wisely; love does multiply. It's a joy, because there are that many more people and that much more love in the house!"
She also scoffs at the idea that she's contributing to overpopulation, calling the concept "overrated."
"I think that there is this ideology that goes behind overpopulation that I don't really agree with. It's a different perspective and that's where people have their different ideas, and that's okay," she said. "That's what makes the world go around; there are many different ideas and different perspectives about certain topics."
