Jim Carrey Gave a Stranger a Bowl Haircut on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

The "Dumb and Dumber To" star is better at comedy than cutting hair.

“In 1994, when ‘Dumb and Dumber’ came out, the most famous haircut for women was the Rachel, and the most famous haircut for men was the Lloyd,” Kimmel said.

Carrey threatened to poke himself in the eyes with his barber’s scissors.

“Keep in mind Jimmy, while I’m doing this cut I’m going to have to resist the impulse to turn the scissors on myself,” Carrey said.

Carrey combed the hair of his first volunteer, Colby, forward, placed a metal bowl on top of his head, and then trimmed across.

“That’s nice. That’s beautiful,” Carrey said.

He didn’t use the bowl for his second participant, Deanna, haphazardly chopping at her blond tresses -- and even wearing some of her hair as a mustache -- before finishing the job with a razor.

“That’s unexpected,” Kimmel said.

“Yes. It symbolizes the control I have over the mind of my fans,” Carrey said.

Deanna expressed remorse over the haircut. She just wanted to see the show, maybe get an autograph, she said. So Carrey tried to buzz his signature into her hair, zaniness courtesy of Lloyd Christmas.

“Great, she’s backing up,” he said, beeping.

“I’m all right with that though," Carrey added. "I think it’s fantastic. If Kanye’s OK with it, I’m down. I’m just glad he has a good place to park his bicycle.”
