Jim Carrey Mourns 'Passing of My Sweet Cathriona'
The actor spoke out about the death of his dear friend.
-- Jim Carrey's on-again, off-again girlfriend Cathriona White was found dead Monday night of an apparent suicide, ABC station KABC in Los Angeles reported.
White, 28, was found dead in her home in Sherman Oaks, California, the Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed to the station. Pills and a note were also found, according to KABC.
Carrey, 53, also released a statement, saying, "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona."
He continued, "She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
The "Ace Ventura" star has been seen out with White holding hands since late-2012. They were seen together again earlier this year.
Carrey even posted on social media about White.
