John Cusack and Cameron Crowe Slam Potential 'Say Anything' TV Show

— -- Cameron Crowe and John Cusack are not happy that reports came out Monday about a potential "Say Anything" TV show based loosely off their 1989 hit movie.
Deadline reported Monday that the TV series "has received a script commitment" and it's set a decade after the movie.
The movie's original director and writer, Crowe, 57, tweeted almost immediately.
"Regarding the announcement of a 'Say Anything' tv show... @JohnCusack, @IoneSkye1 and I have no involvement... except in trying to stop it," he wrote.
When asked if he was involved with the project, the movie's star Cusack, 48, wrote "Hell no !!"
He added, "No end to the exploitation of other people's sincere efforts in shameless slime."
Looks like if the series gets picked up, you can't expect to see Cusack in a cameo!
Deadline followed up with a story today that the series might be shut down because of Crowe's strong disgust at the revival.
