Jon Stewart Exits 'The Daily Show,' and Stars React on Social Media
Jerry Seinfeld, Ed Helms, Olivia Munn and others shared their thoughts.
-- Jon Stewart got emotional during his last episode of "The Daily Show" Thursday night, as did his fellow comedians.
Several stars took to Twitter to react to the host's final show.
"Wish you all best, dude. Keep taking those fantastic pauses, inhales, slow squint then drop funny line... Love you, man," Jerry Seinfeld wrote.
Added Hannibal Burress: "Congrats on 2,676 episodes of television Jon Stewart. Incredible run."
Stewart, 52, took over hosting duties from Craig Kilborn in 1999. Since then, he has led the show to 20 Primetime Emmys and two George Foster Peabody Awards.
"I can't thank the people who work here enough. I can't thank the folk at Comedy Central enough and I can't thank the audience enough," he said during his signoff. "This show isn't ending. We are merely taking a small pause in the conversation … a conversation I hogged."
