Justin Bieber Knocked Down by Man Outside Macy's
Singer unhurt in sidewalk incident during meet-and-greet with fans.
June 23, 2011 -- An unidentified man knocked teen sensation Justin Bieber to the ground outside of Macy's in New York when Bieber came out to greet a crowd of fans today, according to WABC-TV.
Bieber was not hurt but appeared to be shaken up.
The singer had come outside to say hello and shake hands with fans who couldn't see him inside the store when a man leaped over a police barrier and knocked him down.
TMZ reported that it was all a misunderstanding and that the man who leapt over the barricade was a plainclothes cop who moved in when fans became unruly. Bieber's security grabbed the man, not knowing he was a policeman, the site said.
After the incident, Bieber went back inside the store, where he greeted fans who had obtained tickets on Wednesday to meet him.
