Is Kanye West a no-show for New York Fashion Week?
The rapper has left fans guessing for season 6 of his brand at NY Fashion Week.
-- Once again Kanye West has his fans guessing, this time about whether he will return to present another season of his Adidas-backed Yeezy collection at New York Fashion Week.
According to a report by Business of Fashion, the rapper-turned-designer has canceled his show that was scheduled for Sept. 18.
The site was told by a rep for Redken, the hair-care brand scheduled to work on the show, that the presentation had been cancelled.
Reps for West did not respond immediately to a request for comment from ABC News.
But a spokesman for Adidas told ABC News that a Season 6 show at Fashion Week was never in the works.
"To clarify, a YEEZY Season 6 show was not confirmed -- by West Brands, Kanye West or adidas -- to take place during this season’s New York Fashion Week," the spokesman said in a statement. "Any reports about a Season 6 show up until this point have been purely speculative."
West first debuted his Yeezy brand in February 2015 to mostly positive reviews.
Last year, his season 4 show at Roosevelt Island in New York City drew mixed reviews.
Washington Post fashion critic Robin Givhan called the show "boring," while Teen Vogue editor Elaine Welteroth praised the rapper for featuring only black models on his runway.
West thanked them all. "It’s our life's mission to create the most transformative experiences," he wrote on Twitter. "Each and every one’s time, insight and feelings are invaluable to us. We want to make people feel great."
