Kate Hudson Says She and Her Ex Are 'Family for the Rest of Our Lives'
The actress details her relationship with rocker Matt Bellamy.
-- Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy still seem to be on good terms after splitting last year.
In fact, the two are still the co-owners of Hudson Bellamy Wines.
"We’re family for the rest of our lives, we have a beautiful baby and we love making wine. We’ll continue doing it," Hudson told Wine Enthusiast magazine.
The two, who ended their engagement last December after a four-year romance, have a 3-year-old son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy.
Hudson said she was inspired to create her own wine company thanks to her "stepdad," actor Kurt Russell. He's the longtime partner of her mother, Goldie Hawn.
When asked if there is anything about wine-making that’s like film-making, Hudson told the magazine, "I wouldn’t stretch it that far, but I would say that I did have the realization of how creative the process really is.
"What’s very different from making movies is that everything in wine is connected to nature," Hudson added. "Your grapes can only be as good as your year. That is one of the things that makes it very special and incredibly unique. You are at the mercy of your crop, and I love that. Though, we are telling a story. Every bottle has a story, and when you sit down and drink it, you feel connected to that story."
