Kathy Griffin Offered Hosting Role on 'Fashion Police' After Joan Rivers' Death

The comedian says she's not sure the job is "right for me."

Now, the 54-year-old has confirmed she was offered the job, but she's not sure if she's going to take it.

"They did offer it to me," Griffin told Access Hollywood. "I don't know if the situation is correct at this time for me or right for me at this time."

"I really hope they continue in the spirit of Joan's work," she said. "She brought a fearlessness and a brand of humor into our homes that we really need."

Rivers died on Sept. 4 at the age of 81. The comedy legend, alongside her co-hosts, made "Fashion Police" a red-carpet staple, with their biting, yet funny comments on the attire chosen by Hollywood's elite for big-time award shows.
