Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Son Michael's High School Graduation

"How are we old enough to have a kid that's going to college?" Ripa said.

The "Live with Kelly" host, 45, took to Instagram on Thursday to post a sweet pic of the big day for her son Michael.

"The Graduate, his father, his brother, his grandfather. Congratulations HE! We are so proud," she wrote.

Today, Consuelos, 46, joined his wife on her show to talk about the big moment for their oldest child.

The duo said the graduation ceremony actually happened a month after school ended, and Consuelos joked he sleeps till 11:30 now and "there's nothing happening, so you can't tell him to get out of bed."

Ripa added that his job starts in July, "so he literally says to us, 'I've got nothing to do but sleep.'"

The two then were in awe that they had such a smart boy who is going to college.

"How are we old enough to have a kid that's going to college?" Ripa asked.

"I don't know," Consuelos said, adding he hoped he would take a year off before college.

Ripa replied, no, "I've got big plans for his bedroom ... that bedroom is going to be turned into a mega closet."
