Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan Win Daytime Emmy

"Live with Kelly and Michael" won just weeks before their TV partnership ends.

They were named the winners of the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host prize at Sunday night's ceremony in Los Angeles.

Strahan's impending departure from "Live with Kelly and Michael" was announced last month. His last day on the show will be May 13.

"I didn't realize we had even won an Emmy until I started getting text messages...from all of my friends," Ripa, 45, said on today's "Live."

Neither Ripa nor Strahan were present at Sunday's ceremony.

Strahan also thanked the show's staff for their incredible hard work. "It's about a team and that's what we have here," he added.

ABC's "General Hospital" won the top award, Outstanding Drama Series, at the Daytime Emmys, which were presented on two nights, including a Creative Arts ceremony on Friday.
