Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' Wedding Day
The day reality televsion watchers have been waiting for is finally here.
Aug. 20, 2011 -- Kim Kardashian and NBA player Kris Humphries have tied the knot.
The 30-year-old reality TV star married the 26-year-old New Jersey Nets player in a lavisj ceremony at a private estate in Montecito, Calif., People magazine and E! reported.
Kardashian walked down the aisle on the arm of her stepfather, Olympic great Bruce Jenner, wearing an ivory Vera Wang creation, People and E! reported.
The gown was one of two Vera Wang dresses Kardashian was expected to wear on her big day, each with a price tag close to $25,000, according to Life and Style Weekly.
"Her ceremony dress will be a little bit more conservative and more traditional than the dress she will end up wearing for the reception," said Juliette Izon of Life & Style Weekly.
Kardashian was also expected to wear not one, but four pairs of glitzy shoes throughout the ceremony and following festivities.
"Four pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes, every woman's dream," Izon said.
The guest list includes Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera, the Williams sisters, Kelly Osbourne, and of course Humphries' New Jersey Nets teammates. But there was some last minute drama with the list.
"Basically she invited too many people and the space couldn't fit it so the fire marshall came in and said you're going to have to narrow your numbers or you can't have your wedding," Izon said.
Guests were expected to be treated to a towering cake by Hansen's, a $15,000 creation with 10 layers and decadent frosting inspired by the real royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Kardashian called in to Ryan Seacrest's radio show Friday to talk about the fact that her late father wouldn't be there to give her away.
"You'll feel I think the presence of my dad, you'll feel love in this room and that's what's going to be the best part of this whole night," Kardashian said on the show.
The event was being recorded by E! Network for a prime time special in October, but no other cameras are allowed.
