Kim Kardashian's Divorce Getting Nastier

Lawyers for her ex, Kris Humphries, want to depose her boyfriend, Kanye West.

Aug. 16, 2012 — -- intro: The drama surrounding Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce has lasted a lot longer than their 72-day marriage and it doesn't appear to be ending any time soon.

Lawyers for the two sides faced off in court Wednesday. Humphries' lawyer complained that Kardashian's team hasn't been exactly helpful, delaying the discovery process.

"I don't want to use the word uncooperative, but they are not making the process easier," Marshall Waller told the judge, according to E!, adding that he needs at least four months to get ready for trial.

Kardashian's attorney countered that not only have they been cooperative but they have spent at least $250,000 on the case so far -- which they plan to pass on to Humphries.

"To say I am frustrated is an understatement," Laura Wasser told the judge, according to E! "I'm at a loss to figure out what the holdup is. They had a prenup and were married 72 days. To what end does he want this annulment?"

The couple was married Aug. 20, 2011. Kardashian filed for divorce on Oct. 31, citing irreconcilable differences and noting that there was a prenuptial agreement. A month later, Humphries requested a legal separation or an annulment, making no mention of a prenup.

The NBA player, 27, has accused Kardashian, 31, of defrauding him by marrying him solely for TV ratings and publicity.

Among the 33 witnesses Humphries' lawyer plans to depose is Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, and her rapper boyfriend, Kanye West. According to TMZ, Humphries suspects that Kardashian was cheating on him with current boyfriend Kanye West because West wasn't invited to their wedding.

Recently, Kardashian's mother was laughing off the drama.

"[Kim's] really good with her intuition and she's usually -- well, she hasn't been so right lately," Jenner told Bethenny Frankel's talk show in June. "What's a measly 72 days?"

quicklist: 1title: Elizabeth Travis vs. Randy Travistext: Elizabeth Travis, country singer Randy Travis' ex-wife and former manager, has asked a judge to throw out her ex-husband's lawsuit in which he claims she breached her contract and ruined his career.

Elizabeth Travis insisted her former husband's "intentional interfering" with her job undermined "the effectiveness of his career in the entertainment industry," according to TMZ.

The couple divorced in 2010.

Elizabeth Travis, or "Lib" as she's known, sued Travis last April, claiming he "intentionally interfered with" her role as his manager. She was married to Travis for 19 years and managed him for 30, until, she claimed, the singer and his attorneys terminated her contract without any written notice. She said her ex "had a large truck, an armed guard and several other men" haul computers, documents and memorabilia from her Nashville office.

Travis, 52, shot back with a lawsuit of his own, claiming his ex-wife breached her contract by spilling "personal details" about him in a plot to ruin his career, according to TMZ. He also claimed that his wife tried to cheat him out of his money by inflating her travel reimbursement requests. He wants a judge to block her request to be paid back management fees. She was also seeking damages for lost earnings.

The "Forever and Ever, Amen" singer has had his share of troubles lately. In February, he was arrested outside a church in Sanger, Texas, for public intoxication. He later apologized for what he said resulted from an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl. media: 16449651

TMZ reported that he also claimed Michelle Ghent was abusive and twice attacked him with a bottle.

In February 2012, Howard was ordered to pay Ghent more than $50,000 while they hammered out a long-term agreement.

quicklist: 3title: Kelsey Grammer vs. Camille Grammertext: At the beginning of 2011, Kelsey and Camille Grammer's divorce was shaping up to be a battle of epic proportions with a $100 million fortune built up over 13 years of marriage and no prenup.

But then the erstwhile "Frasier" star and the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member laid down their swords -- she had told radio host Howard Stern that her soon-to-be ex-husband liked to cross-dress, while Kelsey refused to comment -- and agreed to expedite their divorce to allow Grammer to tie the knot quickly with his new girlfriend Kayte Walsh, who was pregnant with twins.

They were still working out the final financial details and custody arrangements -- they have two children -- but Kelsey said his biggest parting gift to his ex was agreeing to do the Bravo reality show.

"That was a way of saying, Here's what you always wanted, I'm gone," the Emmy winner told "GMA." "With my grace, go have that famous life you wanted."

quicklist: 5category: title: Heather Mills vs. Paul McCartneyurl: text: To vent after his volatile divorce from Heather Mills, which ended with him writing her a check for $48.7 million, Paul McCartney took to the medium he knows best. In November 2008, he released the scathing song, "Nothing Too Much, Just Out of Sight," featuring the rants, "The last thing you do was to try and betray me/ In new morning light/ I'll never forget it/ And that's just outta sight," and, "And you have money/ And no manners." Ouch.

quicklist: 6category: title: Christie Brinkley vs. Peter Cookurl: text: It's bad enough finding out about a husband's affair. Having to hear all the gory details divulged in court can be nauseating, especially in the case of Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook. Their July 2008 divorce proceedings featured a torrent of torrid tales, including Cook's tearful admission that he enjoyed oral sex with his then-18-year-old assistant, Diana Bianchi, and had a fondness for masturbating via webcam. No wonder Brinkley told Ladies' Home Journal in July 2009, "I would never get married again." She added, "With what I know, I don't see why anyone would get married."

quicklist: 7category: title: Charlie Sheen vs. Denise Richardsurl: text: Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' years-long back-and-forth made their divorce the subject of countless tabloid headlines, but the faux pas that took the cake came in June 2008, when Richards released a three-year-old, expletive-laced voice message from Sheen. The highlight: a curse-filled rant from Sheen calling his ex-wife -- and the mother of their two daughters, Sam and Lola -- a "f**king c**t" and a "f**king n****r." Sheen, then the star of "Two and a Half Men," followed up by releasing an apology for what he called his "choice of words."

The pair are on better terms now for the sake of their daughters.

quicklist: 8category: title: Madonna vs. Guy Ritchieurl: text: After trying to cover up their divorce for weeks, once Madonna and Guy Ritchie went public with the news in October 2008, the mud-slinging started in earnest. She took a swipe at him at a sold-out concert in Boston, introducing the song "Miles Away, " which was inspired by her relationship with Ritchie, by quipping, "This song is for the emotionally retarded. Maybe you know some people who fall into that category. God knows I do." Ritchie fought back via an interview with Esquire magazine, calling Madonna "retarded" while admitting he still loves her.

Perhaps so, but Ritchie went on to have a baby boy with his girlfriend, model Jacqui Ainsley, while Madonna is now dating Brahim Zaibat.

quicklist: 9category: title: Kim Basinger vs. Alec Baldwinurl: text: Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin's divorce drama paled in comparison to the fireworks set off during the custody battle over their daughter, Ireland. In the sixth year of the drawn-out fight, Baldwin called the then-11-year-old Ireland for a court-approved chat, but got her voicemail. He wasn't happy. "You are a rude, thoughtless little pig," Baldwin said in the message leaked on TMZ.com in April 2007. "You have humiliated me for the last time." Baldwin apologized in statement but alleged that Basinger leaked the tape. She refuted his claim, and Baldwin temporarily lost visitation rights.

These days, Baldwin appears transformed. He recently got engaged to 27-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas but let his legendary temper flare up again when he recently accosted a newspaper photographer in Manhattan.media: 15197906
