Lady Gaga's Top Five Moments
Gaga to kick off "GMA" Summer Concert Series May 27 in New York City.
April 4, 2011 -- No one puts on a show like Lady Gaga.
"Good Morning America" announced Monday that Lady Gaga will kick off the Summer Concert Series with a performance May 27, 2011 in New York City.
Ahead of her next big performance, check out five of Gaga's most memorable moments:
The Egg Arrival. Some celebrities slap on Spanx and sequins and call themselves red carpet ready. Not Gaga. For the 2011 Grammy Awards, Gaga encased herself in an egg-like capsule and let a group of handlers transport her into the show. She later "hatched" and launched into her first live performance of "Born This Way."
The Meat Dress. At the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, Gaga also went against the grain. She wore a dress made of raw skirt steak to pick up the trophy for video of the year, and handed Cher, the presenter of the award, a beefy accessory before making her acceptance speech. "I never thought I'd be asking Cher to hold my meat purse," Gaga said.
The Lace Mask. Maybe Gaga wore the meat dress because she had to top what she did at the 2009 VMAs. After performing "Paparazzi" covered in fake blood, Gaga donned her sixth, and most outrageous, costume of the night: a crimson lace dress with a headpiece that completely covered her face. Even Eminem, who handed Gaga the best new artist award, looked shocked.
The Fake Fight With Madonna. Gaga clashed with fellow pop icon Madonna on a 2009 episode of "Saturday Night Live." Gaga and Madonna attempted to do a duet but their performance quickly devolved into hair-pulling and name-calling, with Madonna screaming "What the hell is a disco stick?" and Gaga insisting, "I'm totally hotter than you!" Later in the skit, they put aside their differences and bonded over their superstar status.
The Royal Red Latex Gown. Pearls and a skirt suit for a meet and greet with her royal highness? For Gaga, of course not. Gaga wore a red latex gown and stuck jewels around her eyes to meet the Queen of England in 2009. She went on to perform "Speechless" for her majesty.
