Lady Gaga hospitalized with 'severe pain,' cancels Brazil performance
The singer canceled her Friday show at Rock In Rio.
-- Lady Gaga has been hospitalized and is in "severe pain," she tweeted Thursday.
The singer had been scheduled to perform in Brazil on Friday as part of the Rock in Rio festival, but has canceled due to her condition.
"Its [sic] not simply hip pain or wear & tear from tour, I'm in severe pain. I'm in good hands w/ the very best doctors," she tweeted. "Brazil, I'm devastated that I'm not well enough 2 come to Rock In Rio. I would do anything 4 u but I have to take care of my body right now."
"I ask for your grace and understanding, and promise that I will come back and perform for you soon," she added.
Gaga, 31, recently revealed that she suffers from fibromyalgia, a disorder that often causes muscle pain. She addresses her battle in her upcoming Netflix documentary, "Gaga: Five Foot Two," which debuts Sept. 22.
"I wish to help raise awareness & connect people who have it," she tweeted earlier this week.
