Marion Cotillard on 'Assassin's Creed' and Her Holiday Traditions

The french actress admitted she has had difficulty with an American accent.

"I didn't know anything about the game," Cotillard told "GMA" anchor Amy Robach, but she added that she herself has been curious about looking back into her own ancestors' lives.

"I wanted to, to do research on my ancestors, a few years ago," Cotillard said. "I wanted to do it by myself. But it's too much time."

Cotillard, who is from France, admitted that perfecting the American accent has been a challenge for her in the past.

"I remember turning down a movie that I really wanted to do because it, it, I had to have the perfect American accent," Cotillard said. "And I didn't have enough time."

Cotillard also told "GMA" that she doesn't have any holiday traditions, but she loves being able to spend time with her family during the holidays each year.

"Just spending time together is, it's not a tradition," Cotillard said. "It's just a joy to be reunited with the family."

"Assassin's Creed" hits theaters nationwide on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016.
