'Married at First Sight' Couple Discusses Their Shocking Decision

— -- Davina Kullar and Sean Varricchio decided to end their six-week marriage at the end of "Married at First Sight," but they both said on the series finale that they don't regret going through the "social experiment."

However, they didn't maintain a friendship either.

"At decision day, we had a friendship going into that and he really blindsided me with some really negative comments," Kullar told the New York Post. "It makes it difficult to have a friendship because a friendship is based on trust, based on components of character, and those were unfortunately laid to the side."

"Married at First Sight," a reality TV show on the FYI Network, documents the lives of three couples who meet at the altar. After six weeks, during which they marry, go on a honeymoon, move in together, celebrate the holidays and ring in the new year, they must decide whether to stay together or get a divorce. Kullar and Varrichio, who could not agree on where to live among other things, were the only ones who split.

"I don’t think the real Sean, the genuine Sean ever really showed up. I can’t say that I really know who I was married to," Kullar told the newspaper. "I didn’t have a connection at all with him."

"I was constantly walking on eggshells, where it definitely became difficult to see how we could grow a relationship," added Varricchio, who said that they haven't spoken since the show wrapped. "I'm willing to compromise on so many things as long as someone’s willing to compromise a little bit with me and I didn’t feel that at times."

Kullar said that watching the show has been "cathartic," though her ex said it's been to painful to relive those memories. Both told the newspaper that they're hoping to marry again in the future.

"I think I’ll give it the regular vetting process this time around, though," Kullar said.
