Maxim's Hot 100: Katy Perry Claws to the Top
"I Kissed a Girl" singer Katy Perry ranks No. 1 on Maxim's annual list of girls.
May 10, 2010 — -- Maxim magazine's annual list of women worth swooning over is out today, and singer Katy Perry's leading the pack of 100 hotties.
The 25-year-old "I Kissed a Girl" singer clawed her way to the top with an alluring combination of sexy style and tomboy attitude.
"It's that feeling you get when you suddenly realize that the smartest, funniest, coolest girl you know also happens to the best looking and a pretty good skateboarder, too," mused Joe Levy, Maxim's editor-in-chief. "All of sudden, your crush goes supernova, and this is Katy's supernova moment."
Indeed, with a new album out this summer and fiance Russell Brand singing her praises, Perry's in the midst of a moment. She literally lit up the red carpet at this month's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, clad in a CuteCircuit gown that flashed 3,200 LED lights.
But Perry's only one of 99 stunning women being honored by Maxim. Rounding out the top 5, in order, are Victoria's Secret model/Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model Brooklyn Decker, "Avatar" actress Zoe Saldana, "Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively, and sex symbol Megan Fox.
'Dancing With the Stars' Dominates Maxim's Hot 100
Women from "Dancing With the Stars" earned special distinction on this year's list. Six current and former contestants are featured in Maxim's Hot 100, including two from the season going on now: Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger (No. 24) and ESPN commentator Erin Andrews (No. 58).
Reality TV phenom Kim Kardashian (No. 9), model/actress Joanna Krupa (No. 37), wrestling alum Stacy Keibler (No. 82) and veteran of the British version of "DWTS" Kelly Brook (No. 89) cement the show's dominance on Maxim's list.
