Meghan Trainor Shares New, Un-Retouched Music Video for 'Me Too'
She said the original video was digitally altered and removed it from the web.
-- Meghan Trainor has released a new, un-retouched video for her song "Me Too," one day after she had the original one pulled from the Internet.
The pop singer claimed that producers digitally altered her waist to make it appear slimmer, and in a new post to Instagram, showed a side-by-side comparison.
Referencing her popular song, "All About That Bass," a song that glorifies curves, Trainor explained that she wanted to see her body as it is.
"The real #metoo video is finally up! Missed that bass," she captioned the post. "Thank you everyone for the support."
Trainor, 22, first spoke out yesterday, taking to Snapchat to tell her fans why the highly anticipated video was removed.
“Hey guys, I took down the ‘Me Too’ video because they Photoshopped the crap out of me and I’m so sick of it and I’m over it, so I took it down until they fix it,” she said.
The singer, who did not reply to ABC News' request for comment, posted several teasers promoting the release of the video.
She further explained on Snapchat, “My waist is not that teeny, I had a bomb waist that night, I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist, but I didn’t approve that video and it went out for the world so I’m embarrassed.”
Trainor, who has spoken out about her positive body image in the past, credits "All About That Bass" for helping her to embrace the skin she’s in.
“I was like, this is what I wish I felt like. I wish that I was all about the bass and all about my curves," she told ABC News in February, "and I was like this is not how I feel.”
Now, it is. In an interview with Seventeen magazine last month, the pop star said, “One thing I love about my body is my curves because they photograph really well and they look bomb on TV."
