'X-Men: Apocalypse': 5 Takeaways From New Trailer

"This is war," Jennifer Lawrence's character says.

— -- The latest trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse" is here and Oscar Issac looks like he's owning his role as the very first mutant, who wants to tear down the world and build a new one in his image.

Lots of action here, so let's break it down.

1 - There's a Lot at Stake

Jean Grey, played by Sophie Turner, awakes to a dream that the world ended. No pressure X-Men, you just have to stop this all-powerful being and save humanity.

Wrong buddy. It's Apocalypse.

2 - Apocalypse Has Been Around for a LONG Time

"I've been called many things over many lifetimes," he says.

We see the likes of Storm, Magneto and Psylocke following him at the onset of the film and Apocalypse gives them extra power.

"He got that one from the Bible," Alex Summers says.

"Or the Bible got it from him," Moira replies. Oh snap!

3 - Apocalypse Controls Mutants?!

4 - J-Law Takes Control

We get a glimpse at a very different Mystique, who, in the absence of Charles, takes over the X-Men alongside Beast.

"That's why I'm here, to fight!" she says. "This is war."

In one shot of the X-Men jet, we see her, Beast, Jean, Cyclops and Quicksilver all on the team now.

5 - Finally, Professor X Is Here

The clip ends with McAvoy sporting the bald head we know and love from the Prof. Nothing more to say!

"X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters on May 27 of next year.
