Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Pleads Not Guilty to Tax Fraud Conspiracy

The "Jersey Shore" star's trial has been set for Dec. 2.

— -- Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit tax fraud at his arraignment today, as did his brother, Marc Sorrentino.

Today's arraignment was originally set for Oct. 6, but was postponed so that Sorrentino and his fiancee could film the reality TV show, "Marriage Boot Camp," The Associated Press reported.

The Sorrentinos have both been charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, according to paperwork obtained by ABC News last month.

Mike Sorrentino also is accused of failing to file a tax return for 2011, when authorities claimed he earned nearly $2 million.

Both brothers face a maximum of five years in prison if convicted.

Mike Sorrentino did not comment outside the courtroom after today's proceedings.
