Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel: 5 Things to Know About New Beau
The model was seen kissing Snapchat's Evan Spiegel.
-- So, supermodel Miranda Kerr was spotted at LAX airport earlier this week hugging and kissing her rumored new man Evan Spiegel. But there's a lot to know about the young man -- like he's the founder of a little company called Snapchat. Yeah, here are five things to know about the man everyone is pretty jealous of right now, for many reasons.
1 - He's Super Wealthy
Let's repeat, he's the founder of Snapchat with co-founder Bobby Murphy. In 2012, Spiegel left Stanford University to focus on Snapchat right as it started to take off. He came up with the idea while in school as a class project. In fact, Spiegel dropped out just three classes shy of graduating, according to Mashable. He did pretty well without the diploma. According to reports, his net worth is well into the billions.
2 - He Comes From Good Stock
Also according to Mashable, Spiegel's parents are both respected lawyers. His mom and dad have degrees from Harvard and Yale.
3 - He's Younger Than Kerr
Miranda Kerr, 32, is a single mother and the ex of actor Orlando Bloom, while Spiegel is just 25, born in 1990 in Los Angeles, California.
4 - He Embraces Being Different
During a commencement speech to USC's business school, Spiegel said, according to Entrepreneur magazine, "Conforming happens so naturally that we can forget how powerful it is -- we want to be accepted by our peers -- we want to be a part of the group. It’s in our biology. But the things that make us human are those times we listen to the whispers of our soul and allow ourselves to be pulled in another direction."
Well, his life is pretty different now.
5 - He Can Let Loose
In high school, Spiegel said he worked for companies like Red Bull, promoting their product in clubs.
When his parents divorced, "I had some notorious parties," he told Forbes.
When he was at Stanford, he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
