ABC made the announcement on Tuesday night after "Bachelor in Paradise," revealing that Viall would be the next star looking for a shot at love. He will get to hand out his roses in season 21.

After the news was made public, Josh Murray, whom Viall had some run-ins with on "Bachelor in Paradise" took to Twitter to actually congratulate him.

Murray and Viall were the two finalists for Andi Dorfman's "Bachelorette" season. She eventually chose Murray.

"Despite our differences I am truly happy 4 @viallnicholas28 everyone deserves love and he is no exception - this is your time, go find her!" he wrote.

Fans knew the big news was coming earlier Tuesday night, when the show tweeted out a very cryptic, exciting message earlier in the day.

"Who will it be? The wait is over! #TheBachelor will be revealed on #AfterParadise TONIGHT at 9|8c on ABC!" the tweet read, along with a 5-second clip.
