Nicki Minaj Slammed for Glorifying Nazism in 'Only' Video

— -- Nicki Minaj is no stranger to controversy, but this time, some say she's gone too far.
Critics of the singer, including the Anti-Defamation League, claim the imagery in the video for her song "Only" evokes that of Nazi Germany and glorifies Hitler.
"Nicki Minaj’s new video disturbingly evokes Third Reich propaganda and constitutes a new low for pop culture’s exploitation of Nazi symbolism," said Abraham H. Foxman, the national director for the ADL and a Holocaust survivor. "The irony should be lost on no one that this video debuted on the 76th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the 'Night of Broken Glass' pogrom that signaled the beginning of the Final Solution and the Holocaust."
Foxman called the video "deeply disturbing and offensive" and said that it "is insensitive to Holocaust survivors and a trivialization of that era."
A rep for Minaj has not yet responded to a request for comment. However, Jeff Osborne, the director of the video, has been retweeting criticisms and praise for his work.
"i've got a feeling that i saw beyond the intentionally distracting nazi icons and understood the video's artful purpose," read one, while another contradicted it.
"The 'Only' lyric video was VERY offensive," it said.
