The 33-year-old singer also made an announcement during her "Piece of Me" show on Wednesday night.

"I'm not ready to leave Vegas yet! And I just really really love this show and this city," Spears further told E! News in an interview. "When it came down to me really having to make this decision, I just couldn't imagine ending my residency at the end of this year."

She also promises some additions to her "Piece of Me" show for the new run, which is scheduled to go until December 2017.

"I definitely have some major changes planned. I'm getting together with my team this week to go over the set list, design some new costumes and dream up new props," she said. "There are a few songs that are fan favorites that I really want to add to the show."

Spears' Vegas residency began in December 2013 at Planet Hollywood and was initially scheduled to end in September of this year, but new dates were later added through December.

Tickets for performances from January through April 2016 will go on sale to the public Monday, Sept. 14.
