Oscars 2015: How Georgina Chapman Picked Her Dress

The Marchesa designer shared her behind-the-scenes photos with ABC News.

But this one spoke to her for a number of reasons.

Having just completed her line's fall-winter 2015 collection, which was inspired by opium dreams, the decadence of this creation spoke to her, as did the "absolutely gorgeous" and "intricate" floral embroidery.

"This look is all about vintage glamour with its fitted sleeves and full skirt," she told ABC News. "I wore a more fitted gown to last year’s ceremony and I'm excited to change things up.”

Chapman, who founded the line in 2004 with Keren Craig, paired floral diamond studs from their Marchesa Eternal Collection with the gown, to "echo the floral embroidery of the dress in a subtle way." She's also wearing Munnu jewels.

"The pieces are spectacular and pair beautifully with our eternal collection," she said. "[Plus], it's thrilling to finally be able to wear the pieces Keren and I have worked so hard on creating.”
