Pamela Anderson Says She's 'Cured' of Hepatitis C

The "Baywatch" star first went public in 2002 with her disease.

The "Baywatch" star revealed over the weekend that she is free of the disease after completing a new FDA-approved drug treatment. She celebrated the news by posting a naked photo of herself on Instagram.

"I am CURED!!! - I just found out #nomorehepc #thankyou #blessing #family #prayer #live," the 48-year-old former Playboy model wrote alongside the photo. "I pray anyone living with Hep C can qualify or afford treatment. It will be more available soon. I know treatment is hard to get still."

Anderson first went public in 2002 with news that she had contracted the disease.

After other treatments failed, she tried a new course of FDA-approved drugs.

"I am taking medicine right now, they have come up with a cure," she told Cohen. "I am almost half way through and by Nov. 1 I should be cured -- a 98 percent chance."
