Paul Rudd Kicks Butt in 1st Official 'Ant-Man' Trailer
Check out the first clip that reveals why Rudd becomes a superhero.
-- For those of you who watched all of "Marvel's Agent Carter" Tuesday night on ABC, you were treated to the first official "Ant-Man" trailer at the end of the show.
The trailer opens with Michael Douglas, the original "Ant-Man" in the new movie's background story, talking to the would-be hero, Paul Rudd, and telling the ex-con he's been watching him for a while.
"You're different," he tells him. "Don't let anyone tell you that you have nothing to offer."
If Douglas can't create a superhero with his words, than no one can!
As the clip continues, we see Rudd's character, Scott Lang, has a daughter and that he will become the "Ant-Man" to make her proud.
"This is your chance to earn that look in your daughter's eyes," Douglas tells Rudd. "To become the hero that she already thinks you are."
After Douglas tells Rudd he needs him to be the "Ant-Man," that's when the "Anchorman's" classic humor kicks in. He even asks Douglas if it's too late to change the name!
Then he kicks some serious butt as we see a ripped Rudd.
"Ant-Man" hits theaters on July 17.
