Paula Patton Feels Like 'Real Woman' After Her Split From Robin Thicke
Actress said she finally feels like an adult after her divorce from Thicke.
-- Call her a late bloomer.
Paula Patton said that she finally feels like an adult now that her divorce from singer Robin Thicke is final.
"I went from my parent's house to moving in with Robin, and now I'm becoming an adult," the actress said in an interview on "The Meredith Vieira Show," which will air today. "I'm really, like a real woman now."
Patton, 39, first announced her separation from Thicke in February 2014.
"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," Patton told People at the time.
Though the singer tried to win her back with public apologies and musical tributes, she filed for divorce last October.
She told "Good Morning America" earlier this month that the past year has been difficult but that the couple's four-year-old son Julian Fuego helped her through it.
"I mean, the honest truth is, it has been challenging. But it's been a year of growth, lots of healing, learning about all new things," she told "GMA."
"The truth is, you can't wallow in sadness or stay in bed when you have a child," she added. "And they're so full of life and wonder. And he brings me so much joy."
