Peaches Geldof Dies at 25
The daughter of singer Bob Geldof died unexpectedly in the U.K.
April 7, 2014 -- Peaches Geldof, daughter of musician Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, has died, ABC News has confirmed. She was 25 years old.
"We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh," her father said in a statement today. "What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."
Police confirmed to the BBC that they were called to an address near Wrotham, Kent, in England, to check on a woman. She was later pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service, police said.
"At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden," Kent Police said in a statement.
Geldof, a model and TV presenter in the U.K., leaves behind two young sons, Astala, who turns 2 this month, and Phaedra, 11 months, with her husband, musician Thomas Cohen. She is also survived by her sisters, Fifi Trixibelle and Pixie and her half-sister, Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof.
"My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday," Cohen said in his own statement. "We shall love her forever."
