How Phil Rudd's Arrest Will Affect AC/DC

The band speaks out about new album and tour after arrest.

The band released a statement to ABC News, addressing the arrest and the upcoming album, which is supposed to be released next month.

"We've only become aware of Phil's arrest as the news was breaking," the band stated. "We have no further comment. Phil’s absence will not affect the release of our new album 'Rock or Bust' and upcoming tour next year.”

The AP adds that Rudd was released on bail and will make his next court appearance on Nov. 27.

Rudd entered no plea to the charges.

Efforts to reach Rudd's rep and lawyer for comment were not immediately returned to ABC News.
