'Power' Star Omari Hardwick Says Expect 'Cliffhangers' in Season 3
Omari Hardwick stars as Ghost in the hit series returning tonight.
-- "Power" fans may think they've seen the last of Kanan, played by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.
In the show's season two finale, Kanan and James "Ghost" St. Patrick go head to head as they fight over who will be top dog in New York City's drug underworld. In the end, we see Kanan engulfed in flames and Ghost walking away from both the drug world and his ruined friendship.
Still, 50 Cent's co-star Omari Hardwick, who plays Ghost, told ABC News that although Kanan appeared to die, viewers will see a lot of him in season three, which premieres tonight.
"This year there's a lot of whodunnits," Hardwick, 42, said. "You find that you're looking for Kanan and Ghost. You're looking for both of them. They both are on a run ... in a very different way."
50 Cent, who is also the show's executive producer, said that although "Ghost's flaws pardon his actions," his character Kanan's shortcomings are due to his not knowing how to operate in a morally conscious way.
"He doesn't know how to actually deal with his emotions the right way because the [street] codes and the things that he's embraced as a lifestyle are so strong around him that he's like, 'Nope, let me just go by the codes,'" he explained.
The fast-paced drama, a Starz hit show, has kept fans waiting for its return. According to Hardwick, the show is worth the wait. In fact, its actors are already thinking ahead.
"For us it feels like there's so much to do more. You think season three is cool, we already know [what] season four is going to be," he said.
