Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch Join 'True Detective'
Find out who the stars will be playing!
-- The cast of "True Detective" season two is coming together.
HBO announced on Monday that Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Kelly Reilly have signed on to work alongside Colin Farrell, who is set to play a compromised police officer, and Vince Vaughn.
The network announced that Kitsch will play Paul Woodrugh, a veteran and California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer. Woodrugh is "running from a difficult past and the sudden glare of a scandal that never happened," the network added in a press release.
McAdams' character, Ani Bezzerides, is an officer for the Ventura County Sheriff's Department "whose uncompromising ethics put her at odds with others and the system she serves."
Reilly will play a D-list actress and the wife of Vince Vaughn's character, Frank Semyon.
Semyon is "a criminal and entrepreneur in danger of losing his empire when his move into legitimate enterprise is upended by the murder of a business partner."
Kitsch, who previously had been rumored to be a part of the series, told AdWeek last month that he was "really excited" to get started.
"I’ve just been prepping. It’s been almost a full year since I’ve been on camera, so I’m itching, man," he said. "I’m overdue."
