Reba McEntire Is Set to Teach a Country Music 'MasterClass'
It's the singer's first online class featuring 20 lessons.
-- Reba McEntire has a new title to add to her long resume -- professor.
The country music singer is set to teach a 20-lesson online course called MasterClass, where she breaks down how to craft a country song, gives tips on how to perform -- including how to do vocal warm ups -- and provides career advice.
"I’m doing this MasterClass for anybody who is interested in getting into the music business," the Grammy Award winner said in a trailer for the class.
"We’re going to be talking about how to sing, what to do while you’re on stage, how to pick out a song," McEntire added.
"You don’t have to be the greatest singer in the world to pursue singing. If you find the song that matches your ability, you could have a monster hit," McEntire, 61, continued in the trailer.
"Everything I know now, I wished I had known when I got started in 1976. Country music is about what people live day to day, it’s their life story, all written in a song," she adds.
According to the class' website, McEntire's course will also include a workbook that provides "supplemental materials."
Students can also get direct feedback from the country music singer thanks to her "office hours."
The course starts in winter 2016, according to the website.
