Report: Tony Parker Cheated on Eva Longoria With Teammate's Wife
Report: Tony Parker cheated on Eva Longoria with teammate's wife.
Nov. 18, 2010 -- Who could steal Tony Parker from Eva Longoria?
The wife of one of his San Antonio Spurs teammates, it seems. On Wednesday, Sports Illustrated reporter Bryan Armen Graham revealed on Twitter that Parker may have cheated on Longoria with Erin Barry, the wife of Spurs baller Brent Barry.
"Have it on good authority from entertainment sources that 'former teammate' in Tony Parker-Eva Longoria affair is Brent Barry," Graham tweeted. In another tweet, he added, "Source did mention Barry and wife are going through a divorce."
Graham also tweeted "Longoria said she found text messages from wife of a former teammate on Parker's phone. Source says former teammate was Barry."
Billy Bush of "Access Hollywood" reached out to Erin Barry for comment.
"We spoke to erin barry," he tweeted on Wednesday. "she cried and said "No comment ... TP [presumably, Tony Parker] was texting her."
Brent Barry's father, Rick Barry, told ABCNews.com today that he "feels badly for his son." He declined further comment on Brent and Erin Barry's relationship with Parker and Longoria.
ABCNews.com's calls to Brent and Erin Barry were not immediately returned.
Wednesday night, "Extra" host Mario Lopez revealed how Longoria feels about the divorce drama.
"Eva wants everyone to know she's devastated by the rumors of Tony's infidelity," he said. "She loved her husband and is heartbroken about their split."
Longoria herself broke her silence on Twitter Wednesday. "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness," she tweeted.
Longoria filed for divorce from Parker, her husband of three years, on Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
According to the filing obtained by The Associated Press, Longoria, who had taken Parker's name, wants her name restored to Eva Jacqueline Longoria. The filing also reveals that the couple had a prenuptial agreement. Longoria and Parker have no children together.
'Inappropriate' Text Messages
Us Weekly reports that Parker's "inappropriate" text messages with another woman led to the couple's split. According to the magazine, Longoria recently learned that Parker had been exchanging personal texts with a mutual female friend for nearly a year -- in one month, they reportedly exchanged hundreds of messages.
"Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him," a friend of Longoria's told the magazine. "She's inconsolable."
This is the second divorce for Longoria, 35. In 2004, she divorced her first husband, Tyler Christopher, after two years of marriage.
The "Desperate Housewives" star wed the the Spurs point guard on July 7, 2007, in an elaborate ceremony in Paris. Parker, 28, was raised in France.
In January, Longoria gushed to New! magazine about how much she enjoyed being Parker's wife.
"We are just best friends. I love his company, and I am married to the person I want to be with," she said. "I cannot ask for more. We respect each other as people and as a couple, and we trust each other. The best thing is that he loves to surprise me, and I love to be surprised.
"Our relationship is more solid than ever and we have so much fun together," she said. "Tony and I would love to be together forever. But the only way you get to forever is one day at a time."
