The 5 Most Ridiculous Moments from 'Sharknado 2: The Second One'
"Let's kill some sharks!"
-- Unless you live under a rock, last night was SyFy's premiere of "Sharknado 2" and it ... was ... glorious!
Celebrity cameos up the wazoo, cheesy romantic lines and of course -- sharks, lots and lots of sharks!
Here are the top 5 moments you missed from last night's thrill ride starring Ian Ziering, Mark McGrath and Tara Reid.
Achy Breaky Doctor
Billy Ray Cyrus made an amazing cameo as a surgeon, helping to fix Tara Reid's arm after her hand is bit off by a shark on a plane. Yeah, don't think too long on that one, just enjoy it.
Cyrus said things like "Prosthetics have come a long way these days," and "Ma'am, you just came out of surgery after major trauma."
Couldn't you just listen to the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer say stuff like that all day?
The Cameos!
In the opening scene, Kelly Osbourne and Will Wheaton both had their heads eaten by sharks. Perez Hilton waited for a train with Jared Fogle, the Subway guy, while he was actually eating a subway sandwich. Damon from "Shark Tank" got killed when the head from the Statue of Liberty falls on him. Kelly Ripa killed a shark with her heel and Biz Markie played a wise, old pizza man. Andy Dick also is on screen for like a second as a cop.
Tara Reid and Ian Ziering - The Dialogue
Right after her hand is chopped off, the two are in the hospital and Ziering's character Finn has the nerve to say to her, joking, "Next time you offer to lend a hand, don't be so literal about it." What!?
The romantic parts were also killer. (Get it, killer ;)
At the end of the movie, Ziering finds the shark that ate Reid's hand and gets her wedding ring back, by ripping it off her chewed off arm. While sharks are raining down on them, he says, "Baby, will you marry me again?" She said yes.
'Jumped the Shark'
In the middle of the movie, Ziering is trapped on the roof of a cab, while sharks are swimming around him and there is no way across to safety. No way for anyone else but Finn Shepard. He literally (well, not literally, because it's a movie, but special effects help him) hop from the back of shark to shark -- lily pad style -- and gets across.
"Don't say it," Ziering says to movie best friend Mark McGrath.
"You jumped the shark," McGrath says.
The Creative Kills
A baseball bat was used by Ziering in the subway when he gets attacked on the train. Tara Reid makes herself a circular saw hand after her arm is ripped off by a shark. A taser, sword and Kelly Ripa's heel are all used to kill sharks. Biz Markie uses a butcher's knife, then Ziering throws a shark into the pizza oven, while Vivica A Fox uses a slingshot to shoot bombs into the sharknado itself.
