Robin Williams' Death: The Status of Upcoming Films Like 'Night at the Museum' and 'Mrs. Doubtfire'

— -- Robin Williams died Monday at the age of 63, but the prolific actor left behind a slew of movies that he either finished shooting or was currently working on.

Movies that the comedic legend had finished included his recurring role of Teddy Roosevelt in "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb," which is set to be released this December and is the third movie in the "Night at the Museum" series. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are also back for the third "Night."

"Merry Friggin' Christmas" is another movie featuring Williams, Lauren Graham and Oliver Platt -- that was finished and set for release later this year in November.

"Absolutely Anything" is yet another project Williams was working on, but will be released next year and is in post-production, according to IMDB. The film is a mix of comedy and Sci-Fi, in which Williams voices Dennis the Dog, alongside actors like Kate Beckinsale, Simon Pegg and Eddie Izzard.

The movie everyone is wondering about is the sequel to "Mrs. Doubtfire" that was announced earlier this year in April. Fox was developing the sequel to the 1993 smash hit and Variety is reporting that with the death just happening, no decision has been made on the project, but that "it most likely won’t go ahead."

For the second "Mrs. Doubtfire," Variety added that writer David Berenbaum had finished a first draft of the script and had met with Williams this year.

Williams also starred on TV in "The Crazy Ones," but that CBS show was cancelled in May after one season. In the show, Williams played a Chicago ad exec alongside former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar.
