Golfer Rory McIlroy and tennis player Caroline Wozniacki are engaged, the couple announced on Twitter.
"Happy New Year everyone! Rory and I started 2014 with a bang! ... I said YES!!!!" Wozniacki, 23, wrote.

"Happy New Year everyone! I have a feeling it's going to be a great year!! My first victory of 2014 #shesaidyes!!" added McIlroy, 24.
The athletic couple has been together for more than two years.
"We have so much in common," McIlroy gushed of his Danish girlfriend in 2011. "We're pretty much in the same position at a young age and we can talk about things that probably a lot of 21-, 22-year-olds can't talk about. It's nice."
